Land as Resource

Museo Nacional de Colombia · room 13 · 2016

A map of Colombia printed in 3D onto which video is projected to fit each region, coast and mountain of the country, matching its geography with its natural resources. A touchscreen on a pedestal allows visitors to explore the content, and two wall projection areas complete the room.

The video mapping software was built for the project: none of the existing solutions met the requirements of a high-traffic installation. Developed in openFrameworks and Processing.

Commissioned by the Museo Nacional de Colombia from Omotio, the company of which Carlos Adrián Serna was a founding partner and Director of Research and Development.
