KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE
“For the first time, CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research), which operates the world’s largest particle physics laboratory, opened its doors to nine Colombian artists through its Art at CMS programme. Over two weeks, these artists received guidance from world-class scientists and gained access to their spaces, experiments and knowledge to develop their artistic projects, from 18 September to 2 October that year.
Leading the group of nine were Daniela Brill and Natalia Rivera, the two founders of Suratómica, a programme promoting spaces for creation and collaboration between Latin American artists and scientific organisations worldwide. It was precisely these interests that led CERN to select the two Colombian women to travel to Geneva, where the laboratory is located.” (Publimetro, 2019)
